Bill Thomas, a local rancher who owned a lot of the land which now makes up much of Frisco gave away free land to whomever wanted to build on it in the 1930's. There were no specific lots drawn or laid out in any order - no roads or anything. People just picked a place to build and built on it! Thus, the Bill's Ranch subdivision was born.
